For a complete transformation of the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort, MDR Architects wanted to create a design rooted in the hotel’s natural surroundings. Walnut and stone quarries are the main inspirations of this design, while a touch of timeless geometric marble stands out behind the reception desk through our Tangram patchwork wall covering.
Completed by Southern California-based MDR Architects in April of 2022, the interiors of the hotel’s public spaces and guestrooms received a complete redesign, starting from the main lobby throught functional spaces and 500 guestrooms.
The design is based on Anaheim’s historic agricultural roots. The abstract patterning of our Tangram patchwork inlaid marble wall covering creates the backdrop of reception desk. Textures and play of light and shadow of walnut groves and orange orchards have been infused within the interior spaces, carpet design and artwork. The design aims to provide guests a highly memorable experience while in the center of one of the world’s most visited tourist attractions.
