On the outskirts of Istanbul, a high-quality and timeless residential design by Gonye Design where our “tratto” luxury stone wall panels for stone interiors and the “tratto coni luce” light element stand out in this sophisticated space, blurring the line between indoors and the outdoor landscape.
From the designers’ statement
“A contemporary composition for the needs of a family of six.
On the outskirts of Istanbul, a single-story house with 990 square meters and 2475 square meters of outdoor greenery, including six bedrooms, voluminous living spaces, a home office, and two courtyards.
The interior architecture and design phases are planned according to the homeowners’ needs: neat spaces, assertive style, and innovative design. Having four children, comfortable and relaxing environments are essentials and interior design, furniture and styling had to be luxurious, high-end but also timeless.
The main architectural layout of this single-story house shows inner courtyards creating transitive spaces and letting lots of daylight filter the large outer facades and windows.
The living area is planned as a unifying place for the family with a large spatial ambiance; an open plan layout connects the living area with the dining one.
The overall design details for the furniture had to be sleek with a neat appearance and modern and elegant lines, contemporary finishing materials and fabrics such as brushed brass, bronze, and metals, raw looking processed stone surfaces, such as our wall covering for stone interiors.
Aimed to make children feel special, their rooms were designed according to their ages and hobbies. Vibrant colors were balanced with shades of grays to create harmonious atmospheres. Textile products with bespoke details are only one of the noteworthy steps in the design process. For the carpets, we worked with special colors and different patterns focusing on the same aim of the design to add personality to the space.”
