« On the outskirts of Moscow, Studio D73 designed a private villa, that is a jewel of a Made in Italy design standing out for suggestive lights and warm shades, realized by the Russian “Somax” general contractor.
Distributed on two floors for a total of 1500 square meters, the residence is equipped with all amenities, included a private swimming pool and a spa annexed to the living area, according to the client’s specific request.
Cosy spaces and soft materials are the leitmotif of this project: Studio D73 suggested a unique style, only focused on Italian products, such as marble, floorings and finishing for a high-quality classic, contemporary décor.
On the ground floor, a wide scenographic hallway divides the space into two distinct areas: the living area and an area encompassing the kitchen and the utility rooms. A wonderful Lu Murano chandelier in tobacco colour overlooks the hallway: a unique piece blown by the artist and fashioned by hand at extremely high temperatures.
From the hallway, you may enter the living area: a great living room dedicated to relaxation and conviviality, enlightened with different elements and styles perfectly blending each other to create a unique space. Two rectangular-shaped Giogali pieces by Vistosi give light to the dining table while another spherical Giogali piece overlooks the big sofa.
These elements were chosen by Studio D73 for their versatility: a decorative lighting system based on the element of the handmade glass link that can be arranged to offer chandeliers and structures of any dimension.
The sofas area is covered with a parquet by Fiemme and it is framed with two columns of light that trace the space, almost dividing it from the rest of the living room: they are two “My Tile” pieces by Fabbian, a modular system composed of single units in the transparent crystal that are amazing for their gleam definitely catching the attention in the space.
The “Tile” piece is also recalled by the wall of the dining table: two waterfalls of light that enlighten guests. A particular space is dedicated to the fireplace with a chess table designed by Studio D73: here, the “Macchina della Luce” large-sized hanging lamp by Catellani & Smith plays the leading role.
The long hallway is decorated with “fondo” one of Lithos Design’s marble interior wallcoverings that overlooks the living area and directly leads to the wellness space: 350 square meters encompassing a swimming pool adorned with games of water and ceiling water jets, a spa with dressing room, a sauna, a hair salon and massage cabins. The bottom of the swimming pool is covered with the mosaic tiles by Bisazza creating a romantic bespoke floral design. On the sides of the space, floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to enter, creating suggestive reflects on water further emphasized by the games of light designed by the alternating wall sconces.
The space is heated with the amazing and bright “Shine” radiator by Caleido, composed of a thin steel plate surrounded by a specific transparent polycarbonate structure with bright white led lighting that helps enlighten the whole space.
After leaving the modern wellness area, a flight of stairs takes you to the first floor with bedrooms. A wide hallway enlightened with the “Ether” item by Leucos welcomes you: overstepped the entrance dominated by the two “Copine” and “Monsieur” vases by VGnewtrend, you may enter modern bedrooms kids’ play areas and the luxurious main bedroom where different interpretations of Giogali oro by Vistosi – hanging lamps, floor lamps and table lamps – take place in various styles. A charming Giogali piece also enlightens the velvet “Boa” piece by Edra, an intertwined nest in cosy and warm shades placed in front of the fireplace. »
